Visionary Sites

The morning after the big storm, we drove around Richmond a bit in the morning, but decided to drive on to Baltimore.  The drive there took a very long time.  Tons of traffic often going about 45 mph and stopping completely 2-3 times per hour.  I knew we'd be going past Washington, DC, but I didn't realize how nearby we'd be.  We got a great view of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial and even a little peak at the top of the White House.  We yelled our hello's to Barack.  When we got to Baltimore, we went to the American Visionary Museum.  It's devoted to artist without any formal training and they have a very interesting collection of art.  We also drove by Charm City Cakes.  We're sure they were all inside working while we were out front.  After that, we drove to Wilmington, DE.  I wanted to get in fairly early because another storm was forecasted, and the drive there was happily uneventful.  I think the storm missed DE, but NJ was hit very hard.  Thankfully, we were tucked away in our hotel room and not out on the road.
