On the road again! (For FIVE STRAIGHT HOURS)

Day one of our trip started about twenty minutes late, and we almost couldn't get the address into our GPS. But we managed. We drove for four hours to the Flying Weiner for lunch which was cute and full of airplanes. Then we went to the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, to see a Grant Wood exhibit. We tried to visit it two years ago, but it was closed due to flooding. This year we tried to find a Betty Saar painting that they displayed in a brochure, but it wasn't there. What is the point of advertising your museum with a painting which you don't possess? Anyway, we drove an hour afterwards to the crookedest street in the world, or so it claims, called Snake Alley. I don't think it was as steep or long as Lombard in San Francisco, but it wins in our opinion as the crookedest. Then we drove for another five hours to our hotel in St. Louis and swam for a while. Not a very eventful day, but there are more events to come!
